Low Fat Art Festival first launched in 2015 with the determination and will to create a new platform for art. Bringing the global art scene to be displayed and perform in Thailand, LFAF wished to connect art directly with the people as we believe art belongs to everyone in our society, not just selective few. 

Intensely wrapped in artistic materials, thus we named this festival ‘Low Fat’ to communicate to that this festival is a ‘no-joke’. We’ve removed all the extra fat and fuss so the platform is left only with quality art pieces and performances to tease the audience’s emotion perspective in a way that only great art can. The last 2 Low Fat Art Festival (In 2015 and 2017), we have collaborated with a successful amount of local and international artists from The Philippines, Myanmar, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Belgium. For 2019, Low Fat Vol.3 returns with a new challenge by taking all our art out of confined space and poured them all into the hidden spaces of 3 small communities of Thonburi, a province almost disconnected to the art world. This time we do not only bridge the gap between the audience and artists but the local communities as well.

Low Fat Vol.3 has poured art into every bit of hidden spaces we could find whether it be a Salt factory, an old Chinese house, a historical park, or even a local’s backyard. With over 20 local and international artists spreading across various branches from over 10 countries including Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, Mexico, France and China hand-picked by our Festival Director, Wayla Amatathammachad working tirelessly with 40+ volunteers and co-creators. Stay true to its inclusiveness through a wide range of art from photography, performance, live music, installation, adventure book as well as workshops for children. Low Fat Vol.3 came together wondrously as an international level contemporary art scene with the richness of Chinese-Thai-Islamic culture and the history of the old-town communities.
